Construction of a Hotel and a Residential Complex

We started the project implementation in September 2019. The total area of the construction site is 45 000 m2. The project includes a hotel and a residential complex consisting of 16 buildings, the construction area is 50,000 m2, the construction and renovation of which is contracted in 2023.

Upon reaching an agreement with the client, the management of the "Geo Construction" company confirmed the construction production team under the leadership of the senior work-manufacturer, based on the project specification, its complexity and geographical location. The group also includes experienced land surveyors. Under the supervision of the head of the district, the optimal number of field brigades is determined and effective redistribution is planned on the construction field. Also, a project manager has been appointed, who is a representative of "Geo Construction" directly connected with the client. In order to provide comfortable conditions for the client, the project manager constantly informs the client about the progress of the project.

The main priority of "Geo Construction" is the safety of engineering and technical personnel, workers and third parties. Thus, a certified employee has been appointed by the company to ensure construction safety and security requirements, who complies with the requirements set forth by the legislation on a daily basis at the construction site.

For "Geo Construction" it is important to perform quality work, therefore a representative of the company has been appointed, who controls the quality of work performed on a daily basis.

At this stage, the following works have been carried out at the site:

  1. Preparatory works: 950 meters long temporary fence has been arranged around the perimeter and equipped with safety signs. Temporary road, water and electricity have been introduced at the facility;
  2. Geology: Geological works have been carried out on the site, the condition of the existing soil and the volume of fertile soil has been determined;
  3. Geodesy: a topographic map was made for the territory of 45 000 m2 by our group; buildings and roads were surveyed according to the project. Thus, soil volumes were determined for the foundations of the buildings. Our team was supervising the land works on a daily basis;
  4. Excavation: "Geo Construction" mobilized and transferred to the construction site in Gudauri 3 units of heavy vehicles that were on the company's balance (excavator 30 T.), 15 units of dump trucks, auto-loader (11 T.) and a tamper (16 T.). On the territory of 45,000 m2, we started cutting fertile soil for further use, which amounted to 11,000 m3 and is stored on the construction site. After fertilizing the fertile soil, we started earthworks in accordance with the foundation pit, for which 32,000 m3 of soil was cut and put in a landfill. At this stage, 8 units of the foundation pits of the building have been prepared;
  5. Industrial materials: 1 unit of excavator (39 T.) and 10 units of dump trucks have been additionally mobilized. We brought 15,000 m3 of ballast, 1,800 m3 of gravel and 700 m3 of sand to the construction site. 5500 m3 of ballast was dismantled and tamped down on the roads as provided by the project. The remaining part of the ballast will be used for the foundations of the buildings;
  6. Supply lines: 200 meters long of D1000 mm drainage collector with a receiver were arranged, on which sand (1,800 m3) and gravel (700 m3) were used;
